Hi Everyone
First I must say sorry that I do not speak Italian - It is very embarrassing that I am a stupid English person without good language skills.
Yesterday I was visiting the aprilia Futura rst1000 International Facebook Group and Alessandro Randon suggested I should join this forum to get good information about the Futura.
I have owned a Futura for approximately 1 year but have not yet made many changes to it - I am still learning.
I also have an Aprilia SL1000 Falco. I have owned this for 13 years and I have made many changes and improvements to it. I expect that my Futura will also develop over time.
I love my Aprilias - so I hope I will find much good information here and also make new friends in the big Aprilia family.
Again I apologise that I have written in English but I am very glad to join you here
Andy

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately our guru speaks only local dialect ... and a little bit of italian but only sometimes, but with the translation of the other ones I'm sure he'll help you too.
Welcome in this forum!

Ciao Andy and Wlcome also from my side!!
i'm also a kind of newcomer, as i own my Futura since Feb 2017 but i definetly love it!
don't worry about the language: google translator can help a lot in case of need. and, just to be clear, i think that we have to say sorry for our english that won't be the right one all the times!!
so... again, welcome onboard and don't be shy with comments!!!

Hi again everyone - thanks for the welcome - I already feel at home!
Yes, I have found Google translate helps with the language and if I read the forum using Google Chrome, it will automatically translate for me - so for me reading it will be easy.
If I've got the image posting right, here is my Futura and my Falco

Non ti preoccupare nonno, hanno solo detto che la Futura è una moto perfetta e all'avanguardia
La lingua italiana ha il vantaggio della sintesi
Welcome Andy
Congratulations on your motorcycles, they are my absolute favorite!

That's the third "bluesy" Fut own by someone on this forum.......rare as dyamonds!
I owned the best....the red flames!!!!
But the blue is anyway just one step below.
The Falco is absolutely awsome, and i still wonder why haven't been a success story.

That lil' hawk is not original, dude
Gotcha!
@Lupin: you don' t understand anything about motorcycle, I already told you many times
Reasons why Falco did not get the deserved success can be resumed with three letters: RSV.
Internal competition was deadly for the Falco, and the only way it could have been successful, the Fighter version, was immediately killed by the Tuono.
Unluckily

Thanks for more welcomes and appreciation of my Aprilias.
Of course all Futuras are rare in UK but I don't think the blue ones are any more rare than other colours.
I did hope for a red one but you cannot always choose which are available to buy. The blue one is fine and I will make some changes to improve it.
Greywolf - you are right, the Falco has many changes. Some of them are:
- Ohlins forks (from Mille R)
Ohlins shock and linkage (from Mille R)
Mille Swinging arm
Mille 2->1 exhaust with modifications to fit Falco and improve mid-range and top-end
Renegade air kit
Oz wheels with touring tyres
BST Carbon wheels with sports tyres
Carbon fibre fuel tank - bigger capacity and resistant to ethanol
...... many other changes
